Character Reference Unbiased

Dear {Sir or Madam},

I was a little surprised when {name} approached me for a character reference. Then {he/she} explained that {he/she} needed someone who was unbiased. That makes sense, as my only relationship with {name} is as {tangential connection}. {His/Her} {success/employment} is of no consequence to me.

With that being said, I have no reason to speak against {name} and no qualms about vouching for {him/her}. During our interactions {context}, {he/she} has never given me cause to dislike or mistrust {him/her}. {Example/anecdote}.
