Character Reference Dating

To whom it may concern,

I heard from our mutual friend {Name} that you are dating my ex, {Name}, and that you have some questions or concerns.

During the {period of time} I was dating {Name}, we had no major issues and there were no "red flags." {Name} is a person of good character overall and never displayed any violence or animus toward me. We just weren't a good fit and the relationship didn't work out. Clearly, we have both moved on.
